Creativity flourishes at the Turrill Sculpture Garden

Local artist and art teacher at St Edward’s School in Oxford, Camilla Holder, ran a very successful family drawing workshop at Turrill Sculpture Garden on Saturday 19th June. Using our lovely space to great advantage, Camilla hosted around 28 children and adults, encouraging them to experiment with various media, as she explored art and nature and the everchanging landscape. These were the inspiration for her collection of drawings and paintings now on show at the North Wall Arts Centre, opposite the Sculpture Garden.

Turrill Sculpture Garden is a perfect environment for outdoor art projects, such as this, (parents take note, for a free and fun summer holiday activity!) to enjoy wonderful exhibitions of stunning sculpture by contemporary artists or to simply experience the textures, sounds and atmosphere of a natural space in the heart of Summertown, Oxford.

Please join our mailing list for up-to-date information about future events at Turrill, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Camilla’s exhibition entitled “Sunrise/Sunset” runs until July 3rd at The North Wall, South Parade, Oxford, OX2 7JN
